Introducing the Business Crime Watch Program
For the first time in the city's history, the Richardson Chamber of Commerce and the Richardson Police Department are teaming together to prevent crime in Richardson businesses and commercial structures. The program serves to interact with business owners/managers, property owners and tenant representatives in Richardson to provide an on-going effort to deter criminal activity in the business and commercial sector of our community.
All that is needed is your help and participation.
The first step is for a business to complete the Richardson Police Department Business Crime Watch Application. By completing the application, you will be helping the police respond more effectively in the event a crime is committed on your property, provide police with the proper telephone numbers to call in case of emergency and joining the other businesses in Richardson in the collective effort to prevent crime. The police department will also send a representative to perform a security survey on your business and offer assistance on how you can prevent crime.
The key to making this program a success is through cooperation, awareness and promotion. Articles updating the program and offering crime tips will be published in the Chamber newsletter and on this web page. Press releases to the media, and appearances by the police department at selected Chamber events, material provided in Chamber New Member Packets, and training programs will help make this a community-wide effort.
Join the effort to prevent crime in Richardson by filling out the application or contacting the Richardson Police Department at 972-744-4955 and asking for Officer Lee Rhinebarger or Officer Frank Bradford in the Crime Prevention Unit.

- Writing down suspect and vehicle descriptions, and license plates.
- Take pictures of suspects/vehicles with your cell phone or camera.
