Richardson Regional Medical Center Synthesizes with the Methodist Health System

Future Shines Bright for Newly Named Methodist Richardson Medical Center

The Richardson Chamber of Commerce is pleased to be a part of
Methodist Richardson Medical Center’s celebrated new name. To mark this special occasion, the hospital held a ceremony and unveiled new signage at their Campbell campus. The Richardson Regional Medical Center’s governing body signed a 20-year operating lease agreement with Methodist Health System, effectively merging the two organizations. Nothing is to change besides the new name, commitment to quality and dedication to patients will remain the same.

“We have been committed to finding a partner who shares our vision for future growth and values our dedicated employees and physicians and non-profit mission,” said Ron Boring, president of Methodist Richardson. “Our partnership with Methodist also will strengthen our organization by expanding clinical programs and services, supporting medical staff development and providing operational efficiencies.”

The merge has been heralded due to the tremendous opportunities open for the community. The Methodist partnership will have an instant impact to the growth of the organization, further enabling it to use the latest medical technology and research to bring the best quality health care to individuals and families in Richardson. The merge is also expected to immediately accelerate the expansion at Bush/Renner, currently home to a medical office building as well as an outpatient hospital and cancer center.

"The Chamber is very excited to have the Methodist Health System join Richardson Regional as part of our community," says Bill Sproull, President/CEO, Richardson Chamber of Commerce," Their alliance will only strengthen our already vibrant medical community in Richardson. We are so proud to see them join our family."
